Fit By Intent was formed
to fill the void of specialized, individualized,
health driven fitness and nutrition programs in the Houston area.
Your body is unique and you deserve a program that is specifically
designed with your goals in mind. Unfortunately, most of the
programs offered by the big gyms are a one-size-fits-all approach by
people without real life experience. No matter your goals, their
approach remains the same. The "personal" in training is no
longer the focus. Fit By Intent promises to keep
"PERSONAL" in your personal training program with the focus of
empowering you to adopt and maintain a healthy approach to your
fitness and nutrition.
Wellness and fitness
are buzz words used over and over.
Being fit is more than your ability to perform a set of reps at the
gym. It involves how we fuel our bodies, how we rest and
recover, and our lifestyle These
components are all equally important, and is why
our
programs are different than most personal training programs offered in the Houston and Cypress, TX areas.
Most
personal trainers are taught to empathize with clients who want to
lose weight.
In other words to try and put themselves into your shoes.
If you are deconditioned, weak or
overweight they "try to understand" what you are going through.
I was morbidly obese, flabby and
tired for the majority of my life. I don't have to empathize
with my clients, because I know first hand the obstacles both
physical and mental you may be facing. I have lived in your
shoes. You can expect fantastic results without pills or
surgery. Focus on your health and everything falls into
place.
Included in every
personal training program is a nutritional intake
evaluation.
I advocate and teach a healthy eating habit lifestyle
outside of the gym that’s not too
drastic, mostly just better food choices.
Remember, a healthy nutritional lifestyle
is 60 to 70% of the success of your fitness goals.
The
#1 comment I hear from clients when discussing nutrition is
“It's not as if I don't know what to do". This belief drives
me nuts! Many people feel horrible about their eating
habits, and think they can't control their cravings or need to eat
junk.
Why would you
think you know what to do if you have a weight issue or eat an
unhealthy diet? Because you have watched talk shows with
the experts? The infomercials? The magazines? If your education
was provided by late night TV, or so-called talk show programs
hosted by overweight icons, you don’t know what to do.
Barb is an independent
personal trainer. She trains clients at The Firm
U, a
personal training and fitness studio located in the Cypress, TX
area. Her clients travel from all over Houston to
participate in her training programs. The studio is
semi-private and we provide a fun
and lively atmosphere in which to
train. We don't charge monthly gym fees, initiation fees,
sign up fees.
Just give me a
call to schedule a consultation so we can discuss your fitness
goals. It is that simple. During the
consultation we will discuss your current fitness levels, eating
habits, your goals and commitment level.
I am
passionate about helping you build a healthier body, and to
improve your health! But I can only help you if you are
committed. It is for that reason I do not accept
everyone as a client. Training for me is not about making a
buck. I am honored and humbled to be your trainer.
I want to see you succeed. Some people
hire a personal trainer because they know they need a healthier
lifestyle, but they aren't ready. The garbage food and
inactive lifestyle still have a powerful hold. If you aren't
ready, I would rather wait for you.

to address their specific needs relating to fitness, nutrition and
living a healthier lifestyle.

The
Firm U has proudly teamed with My Fit Foods to provide healthy
meals for clients. As my clients know well, I do not
recommend products. Most people don't need supplements
when they eat healthy, exercise and get enough rest.
But I wholeheartedly endorse the meals prepared by My Fit Foods.
Their meals are great for athletes, individuals who want to lose
weight (we have a great 21 Day program!), and for those who
just want a healthy meal that tastes like a sinful meal.
This isn't your average "healthy" meal. You will think
you are eating a cheat meal. And you can't beat what their
products save you - calories, fat, SHOPPING at the grocery store,
COOKING, and doing the DISHES. Ladies, it just doesn't get
any better than this!
